27 weeks

Baby girl is now the size of  a cauliflower.
(14.5 in, 2 lbs.)
She is breathing (amniotic fluid) and
she's showing brain activity!

How far along? 27 weeks.
Maternity clothes? Dresses, dresses, dresses. It's been in the 80s lately so to stay comfy, dresses and espadrilles are required. Might have to invest in a kiddie pool shortly. ;)
Stretch marks? Noooooooooooooooooope
Sleep: What's that? :P Actually with the combination of daily walks with Zoey, yoga and stretching before bed, I sleep harder but still not very long. It doesn't bother me anymore though.
Energy: Energy is moderate... Start wrapping up my days earlier than I used to. I try to anyway.
Best moment this week: Hearing baby girl's heartbeat. Feels like the first time every time I hear it.
Have you told family and friends: Yes and she has a lot of people excited to meet her. Zoey included.
Miss Anything? Probably repetitive, but a hard workout at the gym would do me some good. Registered for a jogging stroller last week. I'm soooo ready.
Movement: She's such a little night owl. Seeing her move is amazing. I can watch her forever.
Food cravings: McDonald's ice cream cones!!! Milk, fruit and Cheerios.
Food aversions: I'll eat almost anything, except peanut butter.
Anything making you queasy or sick: I really have been lucky. No sickness at all. Not as much dizziness this week either.
Have you started to show yet: Everyday the belly is bigger!
Gender prediction: Little princess!
Labor Signs: Nope.
Symptoms: Lower back pain is consistent but exercise helps make everything better.
Belly Button in or out? In, but probably not for much longer.
Happy or Moody most of the time: Happy. :)
Looking forward to: Seeing her writtle face in 3D next week!!! :) :) :)

26 weeks

Baby girl is now the size of a head of lettuce. (14 in, 1.8 lb.)
Her eyelashes are now grown and she's getting her immune
system  ready for life on the outside by soaking up my antibodies.

How far along? 26 weeks.
Maternity clothes? Mostly yoga pants, cotton shorts and tanks when home. As the weather warms up though I'll be in ONLY dresses. So much easier and super comfy.
Stretch marks? kNOck on wood!!! If I could swim in Bio Oil, I would. I do have a small scar on my tummy now though. Accidentally zipped my belly in my sweater zipper the other day. You'd think I'd realize I need to zip AROUND the belly by now!
Sleep: Let's just say sleep hasn't gotten any better. But what can I do? Just deal and sleep when I can, even if it's a twenty minute nap. Cheerios and a little yoga before bed definitely help.
Energy: Energy is nothing to complain about but I do start to burn out around 5-7pm everyday. Always a toss up if I decide to take a nap at that time or not. If I do, I'll be up til 3 AM for sure. (The Office on Netflix is a life saver)
Best moment this week: Soaking up some sunshine.
Have you told family and friends: Of course. Just waiting to run into friends who still have no idea. Kind of fun when that happens. :)
Miss Anything? A hard run at the gym.
Movement: She's been a bit more calm recently. Think she's just taking her time choreographing this week's new aerobic routine. Gotta switch it up. ;)
Food cravings: Still can't get away from the McDonald's ice cream cones!!! And cutting back on In N Out hasn't really happened yet. Had my blood glucose test last week and In N Out was my best friend immediately after. (P.S. Don't let people scare you about the Glucose test. The stuff doesn't taste that bad. Only thing that sucks is the fasting and almost passing out for me, but make sure your phone is fully charged, you have something to read and the hours will fly by. But pass the first time so you don't have to go back. hehe).
Food aversions: Hmm. I eat everything. :D
Anything making you queasy or sick: Probably not the best idea to eat the entire bowl of pudding, but surprisingly I didn't feel too bad after.
Have you started to show yet: Every morning I wake up and swear belly has grown.
Gender prediction: Little princess!
Labor Signs: Nope.
Symptoms: Lower back pain is not the business. Just have to remember to take my time standing up, getting out of bed and slow down when picking up the little dog.
Belly Button in or out? Still in but the spot where it used to be pierced is oddly sticking out above it. Not too worried though. Makes me giggle when I look down and see it through my shirt.
Happy or Moody most of the time: Neutral/Happy.
Looking forward to: Hearing her heartbeat at my next doc appointment tomorrow. <3

Bump n Bikini!

Well, I went for it. Threw on the bikini and laid out for about an hour over the weekend. It was nice! I couldn't see the bottom piece of my bikini so that was definitely a new and somewhat awkward feeling, but it worked. ;) I couldn't last too long in the heat, it still felt good to finally get some sun and eventually a little color.

25 weeks

Baby girl is now the size of an eggplant. (13.6 in, 1.5 lb.)
Her eyes are forming and will soon start to open!!!
(Ok, but really, who likes eggplants?
I need to find a different size comparison chart!)

How far along? 25 weeks.
Maternity clothes? Oh yes. Yoga pants and leggings. And a fave pair of Old Navy jeans have been pretty much all I'm wearing. Hoping the weather lets me break out the sun dresses soon! Plan is to live in dresses and bikinis til baby girl is born.
Stretch marks? No. Lathering on the Bio Oil as often as I use the restroom, which as you can imagine, is pretty frequently. Doing what I have to to fight the war against stretch marks.
Sleep: Non existent. I've come to accept that three to four hours is all I'm going to get a night and I don't feel too tired the following day so no big deal I suppose. All preparation for what's to come. My dreams aren't as scary as they were but they're still weird and oddly reminiscent of the past. I read that sleep starts becoming more difficult around 25 weeks and this is definitely true!
Energy: Energy is good but I still need to make sure I'm fueled up on food or I crash when I'm out running around. Dizzy every once in a while.
Best moment this week: Yesterday I SAW her move for the first time! So now I can look at my belly and see her daily aerobics routine. Just wondering if she actually does sleep anymore. ;) Can't wait til Zoey feels her move, she's always laying on my tummy.
Have you told family and friends: Yes! Almost time to start planning the baby shower.
Miss Anything? Sleeping on my tummy.
Movement: All the time! She's definitely bigger. It seems like I can feel when she turns around. Weird but neat feeling.
Food cravings: McDonald's ice cream cones!!! Seriously can't get enough and they are only a dollar-ish. And MILK! Preferably chocolate if available. Oh and as always fro yo and cereal.
Food aversions: Peanut butter. But my appetite is not as crazy as it was in the beginning.
Anything making you queasy or sick: Half a day of running around knocks me out.
Have you started to show yet: I'm actually laughing right now about how much bigger I am. Large and in charge!!! :D hehe. Belly is bigger by the day. It's crazy. Might take me a little more time to get off the couch than usual but that is mostly because I'm having some pretty bad lower back pain. I can deal though. For now. :P
Gender prediction: Little princess. And her name has been decided on, although in one of my dreams I changed my mind so I think for now it will remain a secret.
Labor Signs: Nope.
Belly Button in or out? Still in. Still surprised.
Happy or Moody most of the time: Neutral/Happy.
Looking forward to: Finishing her registries at Babies R Us and Turgett. Oh and I can't wait to schedule the next 3D ultrasound at 28 weeks! Her face will be wayyyyy more developed. :)

24 weeks

Baby girl is now the size of a grapefruit (11.8 in, 12.7 oz.)
She can listen to my voice,
heartbeat and seems to be a Sublime fan already. :)

How far along? 24 weeks.
Maternity clothes? Oh yes.
Stretch marks? No. Lathering on the Bio Oil.
Sleep: Naps are the business.
Energy: Energy is good but I need to remember, it doesn't last. Fatigue & dizziness has snuck up on me a couple times while I'm out running around.
Best moment this week: Every single time I feel her move. <3
Have you told family and friends: Yes! Her Auntie Brit has started a board for her on Pinterest and has big ideas. :)
Miss Anything? Realized today I can't jump on the shopping cart in the parking lot and coast to the car. That was always fun but the belly doesn't allow it anymore.
Movement: Definitely a night owl. Like her mom used to be.
Food cravings: MILK! Preferably chocolate if available.
Food aversions: Peanut butter and soup. Not together of course but I want no part of either.
Anything making you queasy or sick: Half a day of running around knocks me out.
Have you started to show yet: I feel like the size of my belly has doubled in the last week.
Gender prediction: Little princess.
Labor Signs: Nope.
Belly Button in or out? Still in. I'm surprised.
Happy or Moody most of the time: Happy.
Looking forward to: The next ultrasound to hopefully see more of her little face. <3 And shopping!

23 weeks

The baby is now the size of a
pomegranate (11.8 in, just over 1 lb).
She can listen to my voice,
heartbeat and Zoey barking. :)

How far along? 23 weeks. (A little late on this one but we were moving. Again!)
Maternity clothes? Staying cozy in yoga pants, loose maternity jeans and long sleeved shirts.
Stretch marks? No...?
Sleep: Naps are my new best friend.
EnergyEnergy is UP! I don't feel pregnant.
Best moment this week: First airplane trip while pregnant! Baby girl did very well. She has been so active and I love it.
Have you told family and friends: Yes! She has a very excited Nana and great grandparents who can't wait to meet her. :)
Miss Anything? Sleeping on my tummy.
Movement: Yes! Her daily aerobics happen around 10pm, right when I'm settling down for the day.
Food cravings: Back on a sugar kick. Using fruit to crush the craving.
Food aversions: Don't want any peanut butter. Keep it away.
Anything making you queasy or sick: Became a little light headed at the grocery store this week and almost blacked out. Used it as an excuse for extra fuel: more food.
Have you started to show yet: OMG I can't believe some people still don't realize I'm pregnant. I mean look! ^^ There's really no hiding it but the pea coat apparently doesn't show the belly as much.
Gender prediction: Mini me. <3
Labor Signs: Nope.
Belly Button in or out? In. Experiencing some pain near it in the mornings.
Happy or Moody most of the time: Busy bee this past week, organizing and cleaning wherever I can.
Looking forward to: The next ultrasound to hopefully see more of her little face. <3
